    1: \emph{Max Possible To Date} refers to the number of
    2: problem parts that you \emph{could} have completed up to this
    3: point in the course. This means any problem which was open for 
    4: you to do in the past, whether you got it right or wrong, or
    5: whether it is currently open or closed.

    7: It may still be possible to exceed this if your instructor
    8: has changed the open dates of some problems, or excused you from a 
    9: problem in advance of the open date.
